From the article: Woodstock 1969 Revisited
The Woodstock Festival in 1969 featured performances from 32 bands and artists, subsequently spawning two best-selling soundtrack albums and a documentary film. What is often overlooked, however, is that fully one-quarter of the artists performing at Woodstock had strong roots in the blues. Canned Heat
- The Blind Owl had licks that the best harp players are still trying to master....When he was found dead in Bob Hiatt's yard, it was pretty much a long slow death for the band that followed though they did and to this day are still on the road..... I have all of their recording on vinyl cassettes and CDs and if I didn't, their sound is in my head at all times anyway.

Jimi Hendrix
- The first responder said it all, it would've been a once in a lifetime experience to have seen Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock. Even if he had not tragically died so soon after, it is hard to imagine ever surpassing the 'Experience' he gave at the Woodstock venue.

Jimi Hendrix
- I get chills just from watching the grainy footage of him up on that stage. Seeing Hendrix live in person would been life altering, i'm sure!
