In terms of raw numbers, the month of July will be suffering from heat-related summer doldrums as the labels focus more on quality than the quantity of new blues releases. Still, any month that offers new discs from Jimmie Vaughan, Walter Trout, and Eric Gales, as well as newcomers like Oli Brown and Matt Schofield, and live albums from Robert Cray and Grady Champion, well, it ain't all bad now is it?
