Magic Sam Blues Band's 'Black Magic'
Credited to the Magic Sam Blues Band, 'Black Magic' would feature the great guitarist's final recording sessions. Released in 1968 and featuring a band of musical talents like saxophonist Eddie Shaw, pianist Lafayette Leake, and fellow guitarist Mighty Joe Young, this is Bob Koester's favorite Magic Sam album. Sadly, Magic Sam Maghett would die a year later, in 1969, of a heart attack.
