Charley Patton

Country Blues Master:

Country Blues defines some of the earliest recorded Blues, and Mississippi guitarist Charley Patton is considered the father of the idiom. Along with Skip James, Patton created a loud, complex, raw style that has gone on to influence all acoustic Blues players. Patton passed in 1934.
