Blues Balladeer :

Born in the 19th century, Mississippi John Hurt career exploded in the late 1920's. The depression forced him back to obscurity, only to be re-discovered after WWII. He was a true link of the Country Blues of the past, to modern songwriting. He passed in 1966.
