Influential guitarist passes in Macon, Ga.

Guitarist extraordinaire Johnny Jenkins has passed in Macon, Ga. He was 67. Jenkins was a regional artist known for his over-the-top guitar tricks that led to a stint with Otis Redding. He was also credited with inspiring a young Jimi Hendrix, who as a boy saw Jenkins in visits to Macon.
