Best Blues Sites of '99

The Internet Groove

By Reverend Keith A. Gordon, About.com

1999 has been a banner year for the Blues on the Internet. It's taken a little longer for it's presence to be felt. Unlike other more technical genres, roots music has been lagging. But in 1999 the Blues really started to blossom on the Net. Most major artists have a Web presence and just about every local Blues band has a site too. It has been a Blues explosion. The big news is MP3. Never has more music been more available. And it's just starting.
