Eric Clapton: Legendary British blues-rock guitarist Eric Clapton, born in 1945 in Ripley, Surrey England.

Known during the early-1960s as Slowhand (or Slow Hand) for his guitar-playing prowess, Clapton was a member of legendary bands like the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and Cream before launching a successful and lengthy solo career.
