Definition:

Alligator Records: Iconic Chicago blues label started in 1971 by former Delmark Records and Jazz Record Mart employee Bruce Iglauer. Hound Dog Taylor & the Houserockers was the first signing by the label, which since '71 has released essential blues recordings from artists like Son Seals, Lonnie Brooks, and Albert Collins, among many others.

Recommended Albums: Hound Dog Taylor & the Houserockers is where it all began, as raw and electric a blues album as you'll ever hear.
