In Memphis in early August, the 10th annual Jus' Blues Music Awards show was held at the historic Daisy Theater on Beale Street, the birthplace of rock & roll and the home of the blues. Sponsored by the Jus' Blues Music Foundation, the awards show is just part of a long weekend of events that saw a lot of live music.

The weekend began on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010 with "The Night Of The Living Legends," an all-star event that included a formal dinner and live music honoring the organization's award winners. This year’s dinner and show offered a “Tribute to the Legendary Albert King.”

Thursday morning, the organization hosted a technology conference with the theme “Blues Got Soul” that is targeted at “music technology students, professionals and artists interested in promoting, marketing and driving sales via new technologies.” Thursday night saw the 10th Annual Jus’ Blues Music Awards at the Daisy Theater, the show providing hours of blues and soul music that satisfied every listener’s ears! Friday night featured the Jus’ Blues Juke Joint Club Crawl in Memphis that featured many of the previous night’s award winners.

The Jus’ Blues Music Awards nominees are chosen by blues and soul music magazine writers, editors, radio personnel, internet radio, blues and soul music websites, blues fans and members of the Jus’ Blues Music Foundation make up the Jus` Blues Music Selection Committee.
