Father of British Blues:

Blues master/champion John Mayall is a multi-instrumentalist composer who lit the Blues torch under a generation of British Blues fans and players in the 1960's. Probably most famous for the players that went through his band. Future stars Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, John McVie, and Peter Green all came under his direction. Throughout his career, his recordings always captured the essence of the Blues, and his world-wide performances have brought new fans under the Blues tent.
