Clifton Chenier introduced Zydeco to the world. the flamboyant accordionist singlehandedly took Zydeco from the trailrides in Louisiana to the biggest stages in the world. His music mixed tradition Zydeco rhythms with Bluesy sensibilities to create a unique ultra-danceable sound. Clifton passed in 1987.
