First Zydeco Recording Star:

The first Zydeco hit recording was "Paper In My Shoe" by accordionist Wilson Anthony "BooZoo" Chavis. After being cheated out his royalties, Boozoo quit the music business and became a horse trainer. It took 20 years for him to get the itch and return to claim his position in Zydeco royalty.
