comments: For a relatively small populated province the BLUES scene is centraliized in the capital city of St. John's. The FATCAT on George St. is the newfie home of the rythym and blues. My first time at the Cat I experienced the blue heart and soul of Mr. Dennis Parker and his special guest Cory Tetford. Not only did this experience alter my taste in music but more importantly through me me into the blues realm; that initiated the beginning of a life-long journey through the world of blues and the blues legends such as Mr. Robert Johnson, Mr. Eric Clapton, Stevie-Ray, Albert and B.B. King and of course my mentor Mr. Dennis Parker.
If you are ever in the capital city of NFLD I strongly recommend a visit to the FAT CAT....It could change your life. It changed mine!
