Sean Costello R.I.P.
Atlanta, Georgia television station WSB is reporting on its website that bluesman Sean Costello was found dead in his Atlanta hotel room on Tuesday, April 15th. The cause of death has not been determined. Costello's death occurred just one day short of his 29th birthday.
The critically-acclaimed blues singer and guitarist had recently released his fifth album, We Can Get Together, on the Delta Groove label. Costello also lent his talents to the recently-released Nappy Brown album Long Time Coming. Costello's death is a tragic loss for both his family and the music community. His evolution as an artist, growing popularity, and relative youth could easily have seen Costello crossing over to a mainstream rock audience similar to Jeff Healey and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Fans can add their condolences on Costello's MySpace page.
