Steve Strongman's A Natural FactThe Toronto Blues Society held its 16th annual Maple Blues Awards ceremony on Monday night, January 21, 2013. Hosted by Canadian actor and musician Raoul Bhaneja, this year's event included performances by past and present nominees, including Matt Minglewood, Carlos de Junco, Harrison Kennedy, and Suzie Vinnick, among other artists each bringing their unique vision of the blues to a sold-out crowd in Toronto's Koerner Hall.

Popular Canadian outfit MonkeyJunk and its individual members took home three awards, including "Electric Act of the Year," but guitarist Steve Strongman and singer Suzie Vinnick were the night's big winners. Strongman, hailing from Hamilton, Ontario walked off with Maple Blues Awards for "Guitar Player of the Year," "Recording of the Year" for his A Natural Fact album, and "Songwriter of the Year." Saskatoon native Suzie Vinnick was honored with awards for "Acoustic Act of the Year" and "Female Vocalist of the Year." See who else won a Maple Blues Award...
