As we reported last week, blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist Guy Davis is preparing to drop a new album in February. Davis is calling The Adventures of Fishy Waters: In Bed With The Blues an "audio play," and the two-CD set is certain to break new ground and take the blues back to the theatre stage (bluesmen like Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee first added acting to their resumes back in the 1940s and '50s).
Davis is performing The Adventures of Fishy Waters, a collection of stories and songs, onstage at the Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick, New Jersey from February 16th through 26th; details can be found on the theatre website. The bluesman will also hitting the road in support of the new album, and if any of the below-listed tour dates are in or around your hometown, it would be worth your while to check out this talented singer and storyteller.
