Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan In SessionIf you haven't already made the plunge and popped for the new deluxe edition of the Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan In Session CD/DVD package, this might just make up your mind for you! PBS has announced that it will be broadcasting Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan In Session throughout the month of December 2010. Noted blues guitarist Robert Cray will host fundraising segments throughout the program; you can check your local listings to see when the show will be running in your area.

In Session documents a December 1983 meeting between the two blues guitarists: the legendary Albert King and the up-and-comer Stevie Ray Vaughan, who had just released his remarkable debut album Texas Flood. Taped for broadcast on Canadian television, the show includes electrifying performances of both King and Vaughan songs, including "Born Under A Bad Sign," "Texas Flood," "Stormy Monday," and "Pride and Joy." After watching these two talented fretburners eat up the stage, you'll definitely want to own a copy of this historic performance for yourself.
