So sorry to hear about Pat’s passing on. He truly was a great harmonica player. I’ve been playing harp for over 35 years, and had the good fortune of meeting him in Georgetown, CO when he was first hooking up with the Butch Trucks Band. He blew me away with what he could do on the harp. I was anxious to learn anything I could from him. The one bit of advice that he gave me was to try to sound like a guitarist or a pianist, instead of trying to just sound like a harmonica player. Best lesson I ever had. He will be sorely missed in the blues world.
