Severn Records 10th Anniversary Party

Wednesday September 24, 2008

Blues guitarist Clarence SpadyJust got the postcard in the mail, so I'm a little later with this announcement than I like to be, but if you're in the Baltimore, Maryland area this Saturday, September 27th you should consider dropping by the Fish Head Cantina for what promises to be a heck of a show!

Hosted by the Baltimore Blues Society, Severn Records is going to celebrate the label's birthday with a 10th Anniversary Blues & BBQ blow-out. The one-day event will feature music from some of the best contemporary blues artists on the planet, including singer extraordinaire Tad Robinson and phenomenal guitarist Clarence Spady, as well as performances from folks like Mike Morgan, Steve Guyger, Monster Mike Welch, and Sugar Ray & the Bluetones, among others.

Severn Records founder and President David Earl will also be a special guest on Steve Hoffman's "Don't Forget The Blues" radio program, today at 12 noon on WPFW, 89.3 FM out of Washington, D.C. They'll be playing highlights from a decade of Severn's blues CD releases and discussing the upcoming anniversary party. Interested listeners can tune in to the station's website to hear streaming audio of Hoffman's show.

Check the Severn Records website for more details about the 10th Anniversary Blues & BBQ show and ticket availability. If you're going to be in the "Charm City" this weekend, this would be a great way to spend your Saturday night!
