On Thursday July 31st, 2008 blues artist Joe Bonamassa will host an afternoon guitar clinic at the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at the Musician's Institute (MI) in Hollywood. Check with the Musician's Institute website for further details.
Blues artist Joe Bonamassa has received almost universal acclaim for his fiery six-string style. The readers of Guitar Player magazine have voted Bonamassa as "Best Blues Guitarist" in both 2007 and 2008, while Guitar One magazine once called Bonamassa "just might be the best guitarist of his generation." A committed supporter of music education, Bonamassa sits on the board of the Blues Foundation as its youngest-ever member, and is the lead spokesperson for the Foundation's "Blues In The Schools" program, which educates students nationwide about the legacy and influence of the blues. Bonamassa is currently preparing for the upcoming release of his two-disc live set Live From Nowhere In Particular in August.
The Musician's Institute, originally opened as the Guitar Institute of Technology in 1977, has trained an estimated 20,000 musicians, producers, engineers, vocalists, and industry professionals for careers in the biz and currently offers degree and certificate programs in guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keyboards as well as recording production and engineering.
